Two weeks and two days

This is my third weekend of being sick, now. I'm feeling different. Not exactly better, unfortunately. It started out with a sore throad and some congestion, then turned to laryngitis within a couple of days. After about 5 days, I got my voice back but developed a terrible cough. About five or six days after that the cough mostly let up, but the sore throat remains, and I'm tired tired tired. I went to see a nurse last Wednesday, she said it's a virus and it will just have to run its course. Beginning Friday night the congestion got worse. Throat still sore. Meanwhile there's yardwork and housework I want to do, and of course a novel I want to write. I'm ready to be well again.

Okay, I'm done whining now.

That crud that's being around is just awful. One of my co-workers had it lingering for weeks :(

Sorry you've been sick! It doesn't sound like strep, thank goodness. That doesn't go away on its own ... needs antibiotics. Strep doesn't usually come with a cough. (According to my nurse cheat-sheet.)
