Whine

I've been trying to get started, really. After writing group this morning, I was eager to get to my office and pound on the keyboard for a while. I went in search of lunch. All I wanted was a quick bowl of soup. Try finding a bowl of soup in Portland. Well, okay, Elephant's has awesome soup, but I thought it too far from my office (for takeout) and too inconvenient to eat there due to the fact that they have like 2 chairs. I figured there are many restaurants on 21st, I'll try one of them.

Well, damned if they aren't all closed at lunchtime. Open for dinner only. WTF? I ended up walking all the way down to Little Wing, only to find that the only soup they have today is (ahem) mushroom beef barley. Could three words be any less appetizing? Well, yes, but.... Definitely not what I had in mind. So I waited and waited for a half-sandwich. It was 40 minutes later by the time I got out of there. And while the sandwich was tasty and nice enough, it made me sleepy. And I was in a bad mood. And I had forgotten my power cord for my computer.

Damn.

So, I did a little reading. Guess I'll start writing tomorrow.
