Wow, I have had many of the same impulses. I remember when I was around 20, seeing so much that I thought needed to be changed in the world and knowing I could never do one-millionth of what needed to be done. I saw myself as able to contribute the equivalent of a drop of water to a bucket the size of an ocean. But I thought: better to contribute that drop rather than withhold it.
