Felt much better this week than last. It was nice to be able to get some things done. Had writing group on Monday, not much on Tues and Wed, Thursday was a big day of Babies R Us registering (we're getting close to being done, I think), meeting the pediatrician I picked (she's nice), meeting the Terminix guy (we have carpenter ants and we have them bad. I'll probably have to do a whole carpenter-ant entry), and going to the grocery store to FINALLY buy food (something I should have done Tues or Wed when I didn't have much else going on.) On top of all that I still managed to take a nap at the end of the day before hubby came home. Then, despite having bought groceries, we ordered a Schmizza. Mmm, cheesy! Then yesterday dh took the morning off so that we could drop off his car for greasing at the dealership and go downtown to visit the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair at the Oregon Convention Center. (Which has a website at http://www.oregoncc.org , but it's kind of an ugly website and not very interesting.) The ISEF was pretty cool -- 1,300 high schoolers from something like 40 countries presented their projects on good old-fashioned posterboard (mostly) and were judged against their peers. We're still trying to figure out who the big winners were, but there were scores of winners of different categories that we were able to read a list of while there yesterday. Prizes were mostly scholarships, though some of those were impressively large (one school offered $6,000/year for all four years.) I wish I had taken the camera so I could post a few pictures here. I'm going to have to get used to carrying a camera when there's a baby around.
A baby. That still wows me.
Luch was sandwiches at Grand Central Baking Company, then a trip out to Intel to drop off dh so he could get a couple of hours of honest work in.
I've got another big week ahead starting Monday; hope I keep feeling reasonably well!
