Yes, we wash our tomatoes
The New York Times is recommending that you and I and anyone who feeds anyone wash all of our fruits and vegetables, even those "triple-washed" bag salads.
I wash my bag salads because (1) it makes the contents crisper. Often it's gotten a little rubbery while in the package, and (2) it just seems like a good idea. According to the Times, it is, indeed, a good idea.
