My friend Jerry has been telling me to do this for years. Well, Jerry, here ya go. If this is boring as all get-out, we'll blame you, ok?

I started National Novel Writing Month yesterday. Got 1070 words out before I realized that there is only so far you can go with neither a character nor a plot. And yet, I need to keep going. I need another 2300 words today, minimum. I also need to grocery shop, eat meals, and maybe clean up this pigsty of a house a little bit. But I have a cold and all my energy is going into making snot. There is not much energy left for grocery shopping and getting to know a character. Somehow, I must find it in myself to persevere.

Also, I am entertaining myself with online quizzes. My perfect LOTR mate is Legolas. Oh yeah!
